A Truly Sustainable Model
Simple, innovative, and sustainable solutions are braided into our model that increase local rural community benefit - food and produce locally sourced, fresh and handmade. Employees are local too. Buildings that have been here before restored and retain their agricultral theme. New building are sensitive to the landscape.
This is the way we will continue to do business.

SUSTAINABILITY
Our Sustainability Model
The submitted plans for the rural family centre will consider all key areas of a sustainability framework, including CO2 Emissions, Water, Materials and Waste, Health and Wellbeing, Biodiversity and Resilience through this Sustainability Strategy.
- A Life Cycle Assessment will be continually updated and improved throughout the life of the project to minimise embodied carbon.
- To reduce operational carbon.
- Sustainable Transport Options for employees are to be provided. A Sustainable Travel Fund is to be delivered that will help encourage travel via sustainable means, such as walking, cycling, existing bus services, and car sharing measures.
- Electric Vehicle Charging is a key facility required now and increasingly into the future. Our electrical containment infrastructure has been designed to be ready to accommodate 5 EV chargers plus an additional 2 EV chargers to cater for long stay visitor use at the current holiday lets and for staff using the car park.
- The surface water drainage design deals with the potential for additional surface water with rainwater harvesting. The design will also improve water quality using existing landscaping and planting features, such as gardens and swales, that are beneficial to the ecological environment as well as our landscape.
- There will be an improvement of at least 5% in general habitat and hedgerow biodiversity across the site as part of on site “Biodiversity Net Gain”.
- There is a commitment to local procurement, during both construction and operation of the rural family centre.
- We will implement a wide range of best practices to reduce, reuse and recycle waste.
